Benjamin D Cooper is a multi disciplinary artist, Director of Photography, Camera Operator, Filmmaker and Musician.

He studied Fine Art at Central Saint Martins (BA Hons) and Goldsmiths University of London (MFA) specialising in moving image.

After gaining his MFA, Benjamin focused his creative practice within film production, specialising in Cinematography. As a Director of Photography and Camera Operator, he has worked for a wide range of high profile clients such as Burberry, Google, Amazon, LinkedIn, Meta, Mind The Film, Ted Talks, Charlotte Tilbury, Amnesty International and BMW amongst others. 

Alongside his work within film, Benjamin maintains an ongoing photographic practice. His images often explore the abstract, compositions marked by emptiness, introspection, mystery and quiet tension.

Influenced by the surreal narratives of David Lynch, and the cinematic stillness of Gregory Crewdson, Benjamin's works blurs the line between constructed reality and emotional perception. Whilst his photographs resist linear interpretation, they reward close attention, offering glimpses of unresolved stories and internal states through light, form and spatial ambiguity.
